Isnt that how one loses himself/herself?

When one depends largely on another to survive,
Like a parasite,
He'll/She'll be risking a part of himself/herself
Subjecting his/her own fate to the influence of that other.

Meaning to say,
dependence is extremely dangerous.
It determines which way you're going
Whther it be jumping to your death off the cliff
or walking in front of a speeding car.

And when i talk about 'depend'
i mean everything under the sun.
Such as depending on a substance;
drugs, ciggarettes, internet, technology,
or a somebody.

When u allow yourself to depend on something/someone
you're giving up a whole lot of your freedom of choice.
because you dont have the power to decide anymore.
Its in the hands of that other.
And true enough, you'll lose yourself.
Its like losing your control over the steering wheel.
You cant drive properly, accidents happen.
