The Malay Society

I think the biggest flaw of the malay society

is our tendency to JUDGE,
PREMATURELY.

Basically, it goes like this.

First of all, OUR EYES will
view issues on the surface level.
We start interpreting what we see.
On that very spot,
we try to make sense of it.

Just like how we look up at the sky
and deduce that its BLUE,
or when we look at blood,
and happily hypothesize thats its RED.

It gives us this feeling of security,
This logical sense of reasoning,
the act of categorising.
A temporary fleeting sense of
contentment, happiness then engulfs us,
to know that we are sure about something,
a delusional knowledge.
And we see start shaping our ideals, firm opinions
towards what we see and
what we choose to believe upon it.

THAT undeniable emotion,
is like a drug.
We are so impatient,
so quick to reach that level of contentment.
To make a conclusion,
we fail to to use our ability,
our gifts from GOD
to discern,
to THINK
And make matured fair judgements.

OUR HEARTS
act on impulse,
and thats when we malays
commit our flaws;
Prematured Assumptions,
Generalisation, Stereotypes.

And haha you can guess,
how such a mistake ravages,
tears apart and destroys our society,
like a tornado, a disastrous chain-effect.

Okok hmm let me think of a case-study
to depict this flaw in our society clearer.

Lately, the issue about MATS and MINAHS
have been clawing away at the edge of my thoughts.
A result of the recent video(saw it on fb!)
showcasing 3 young girls
bitching about 'MINAHS'.

As a matter of fact,
i think the notion, this branding,
is actually a product of
PREMATURE JUDGEMENTS.
I mean sureee, i perfectly understand HOW
such stereotypes are here in the first place.
But WHY?

Minahs i believe are defined by the mass
as girls who portray ghetto-like characteristics,
similar to the not-so-well-off downtown females
in the Unites States.
They are often deemed as,
Juvenile Delinquents,
widely disapproved by the public
due to their notorious ways
of hooligan-like behaviour,
sinful ways and unsightly appearance.

But Really.
Why do we have to brand them?
Shun them, Ostracize them?
Judge them rashly and harshly when we havent even considered
the reason why they ARE like that in the first place
[confirm got family problems one;(]

Why the hell are we doing all this,
when we should be helping them instead?:/

Why are we letting this harmful stereotype
live through generations,
why are we creating crack lines between us,
inciting feelings such as hatred, disgust and disdain against each other
when we should really be united and helping each other instead.

I dont blame those three small malay girls in the video,
they are but merely victims,
tangled in an unfortunate societal web,
a result of our immaturity as well as the immaturity of others
from generations before of us.

In fact i feel angry when i read those hate comments
calling them stupid and stuckup and bitches and whatnot.
Like HELLO???
They're small kids for god sake,
Would you kick and slap and punish a baby for making a mistake??:(

we should be protecting them and correcting them,
It angers me to know that
we fail to possess the basic sense of humanity
to protect a younger generation.
Instead we throw hatred,
blaming them for something that we could have deterred from.

If you get where im going,
then do something to save the Malay society,
Save the future generations,
Save our children.

Think before you judge.

Saving me.

I've made alot of mistakes,
I've made alot of injustice,
Made far too plenty wrong decisions.

I have gone against principles,
I have disappointed, upset and betrayed faith.
I have sinned.

But as fallen as i am,
im not staying on this ground.
I strongly believe in hope,
I fight for redemption.

Please dear Allah Almighty,
Grant me this chance,
give me Courage and Strength.

Show me the light,
Guide me with your love,
To learn and be a better person.

Morning serenading.

Still clutching on to the slight remnants
of yesterday night's slumber,
With tousled messy messy hair
and a dazed expression on my face
I sit at ease next to the open windows
in my sacred music-making balcony.
Strumming gee and singing softly by myself,
My melodies flying around me in the air.
My voice:)

The fresh feel of the morning dew,
the cooling breeze blowing in from the far north,
The soft rays of light streaming in gently
from the friendly morning sunshine.
My companions:)

The cheerful chirping of the birds,
the constant droning of crickets in the wet grass
The usual buzz of the morning traffic,
the busy chatter of the morning crowd at e nearby coffeeshop below
My orchestra:)

They listen on attentively,
Those huge pretty green trees standing outside my window,
That wide beautiful stretch of gorgeous blue abyss above my head
The fluffy white cotton-candies floating in the bright sky.
My audience:)

And as i sense their presence in my life,
As their very essence surround my being
I shall close my eyes and
reach out deep for the heart of my soul

And just like magic,

I feel the beauty of the universe in myself.
My love<3

Nothing is like what it seems.

Nothing is like what it seems because...

Most of the things that happen in the world are unprecedented.
You'll never be too sure whether its going to happen for real,
Or whether what you think IS going to happen,
is in fact a product of your delusions and fantasies,

That has a relatively high possibility of not coming true.

When you Expect,
and IF it doesnt happen,
you're gonna get disappointed, wont you?

When you happily believe/assume
something is circular in shape,
but in reality
its actually pretty darn triangular,

then,
Nothing is like what it seems.
